Official Launch of the Expansion and Modernization Project in N’Beika

N’Beika, November 16, 2016 – The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, officially launched on Wednesday, as part of the second stage of his visit to the Tagant region, the project to expand and modernize the city of N’Beika.

This large-scale project includes the development of a fully serviced residential zone with water and electricity networks, comprising 3,689 residential plots, 256 commercial plots, 51 reserved land lots for public infrastructure, and 12 public squares.

The Head of State reviewed visual displays presenting the key features of the project and listened to detailed explanations about its objectives, 12-month completion timeline, and its contribution to improving the living conditions of the local population.

Upon his arrival, the President was welcomed by the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and Territorial Development, Mrs. Amal Mint Maouloud, and the Director General of the national company ISKAN, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Jaafar.
